The fundraiser is called "Monies for Moore - The Moore We Can Offer, The Better!" Collection cans will be set out in each school office by the district's Character Counts Committee. Monies collected may be earmarked for the American Red Cross in Oklahoma City to help with recovery. "The devastation and impact on Oklahoma and the Plaza Towers Elementary School hit hard and is painful to comprehend," said Supt. Dr. Guy Schumacher. Higher performance expectations will likely result in a downward shift of where our students rank in meeting and/or exceeding state standards on the tests. This is not an indication that our students know less or are less academically capable or prepared, but that they are being measured against more rigorous standards. |
