Communication Update of Calendar and YouTube
Superintendent's Department
District 70 We're improving some of our communication tools and wanted to let you know what this means to parents and D70 stakeholders.

We're adding a "Music & Fine Arts" topic to our D70 calendar, allowing unlisted and/or private videos to be posted to YouTube for parent viewing outside of the district, and have pumped up our Emergency Notification System with a new vendor.

Learn all about our improvements and how we can communicate better with more powerful tools.

Please Slow Down, Be Careful
Superintendent's Department
News Photo We continue to ask all residents to please be careful when driving around the schools.
Many of our students are out and about on foot, walking to and from school in the good weather. Please be aware of pedestrian traffic.
Car traffic increases so please be alert around the schools as students are dropped off for class or early activities. Please review approved drop-off areas around the schools, especially at Highland Middle School where the drop-off procedure and a map can be found on the school website.
Please pay attention to signage at the schools related to parking, no cell phone use in a school zone, no U-turns and please have students exit the car on the curb side so they do not cross lanes of traffic.
We all need to work together to keep our children safe. (Dated photo on Milwaukee Avenue from 1966, the Chicago Tribune.)
